And news on the band’s seventh album
During their panel this year’s Face The Music conference, The Living End frontman Chris Cheney confirmed he has been working on a solo record "that's going to come out at some point".
Focus On The Living End was one of many panels at the two-day Melbourne-based music conference, and all three members of the band, alongside long time manager Rae Harvey, gave details on their seventh record, which they are currently working on.
“This time there hasn't been any writing together, we've all been off doing our own projects and coming together for shows...for this one we're just going in there and hitting record, to capture the spontaneity. It could be the biggest mistake of our career,” Cheney said at Face The Music.
“We're literally throwing ourselves into nowheresville... What could possibly go wrong.”
“It's all about not over thinking it and keeping it really simple because nine times out of ten the first idea is the strongest,” drummer Andy Strachan added.
Cheney also admitted their sixth record, The Ending Is Just The Beginning Repeating, was almost their final.

“We didn't know if we were going to make another record after the last one, but after the few shows we've done, Soundwave and a Euro tour, we thought wed be mad to not do another one. It doesn't feel tired,” Cheney said.
