People have questioned their depiction of Indian culture.
It was only released in the last 24 hours but the video for Coldplay's new single Hymn For The Weekend featuring US singer Beyonce has sparked a massive online debate, with many slamming the depiction of Indian culture in the film clip.
The video which was filmed on set in Mumbai, features street artists and performers, as well as Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, though many are questioning why Beyonce is seen in the clip in complete desi attire.
The term "cultural appropriation" has been thrown around a lot in this discussion (adopting a culture by a member of a different culture) and many are concerned as to whether Coldplay and Beyonce are guilty of this.
Here is what the internet is saying about the clip:

Look @Beyonce and @coldplay are not appreciating my culture. This is appropriation. Stop trying to defend them. It is what it is.

#Beyonce guilty of 'cultural appropriation' in the #Coldplay video? If dressing Indian makes her guilty what abt Indians who dress Western?

Wait, so it's a Coldplay song about Holi, and Beyoncé is just in the video, but Bey is the one getting all the grief about appropriation?

Are we gonna discuss how Beyonce dressing up as an Indian woman for the Coldplay video is cultural appropriation, or no?
— Sixo, (@thesalteater) January 29, 2016
I love you @Beyonce & @coldplay but the new #HymnForTheWeekendVideo is kind of really problematic. Cultural appropriation is never okay.

Love Beyoncé but she and Coldplay are guilty of cultural appropriation.
— Emperor (@Emperor_Chris_) January 29, 2016
So Coldplay's new video (ft. Beyonce, yeesh) is our frontrunner for most egregious cultural appropriation of the year, right?
— Elliott San (@mrelliottsan) January 29, 2016
Cultural appropriation is about power structures just as with racism. How is Beyoncé, a black woman, offensively appropriating?
— nygma (@Seauxmali) January 29, 2016
Coldplay/Beyoncé went to India and hired real Indian women to feature in the video with them, that's appreciating their culture.
— prude (@YeIIowbang) January 29, 2016
like, love me some Bey. We all know that. But yeah, we couldn't have found a Bollywood actress to play a Bollywood actress?
— Phillip Picardi (@pfpicardi) January 29, 2016
