The Unified Scene rejoices
The Hold Steady might not be the biggest band in the world, but if you're a fan of the band (who celebrate ten years together in 2014) then you're a part of a very passionate bunch of music lovers who become, frankly, a little obsessive with the rock'n'roll group.
We already knew the band was in the studio and now we can confirm some further details about the album thanks to an announcement about their new American label Washington Square (a subsidiary of Razor & Tie), of which The Hold Steady are the first signing.
The new LP will be called Teeth Dreams and it will be released in the US on Tuesday 25 March; we don't know all that much more about the record at this stage (including who will be releasing it in Australia) but we can tell you that it was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who has previously worked with the likes of Foo Fighters, Rush and, umm, Evanescence… We're sure that just means this Hold Steady record will sound bigger than all the others, which has to be a good thing right?
We can't wait until March to find out if it will again bring us so much joy. Stay positive, we are all The Hold Steady etcetera.
