Beloved annual Hunter Valley event The Gum Ball will return for its 12th iteration in 2017 on the heels of its largest-ever festival, its organisers have announced.
The yearly out-of-town hoedown will light up its traditional home of Dashville, in Belford, over three days of BYO-friendly camping celebration from 21-23 April.
The property's calendar has become increasingly packed in recent times, with recently concocted heavy-music fest Thrashville joining its pre-existing crop of attractions, Dashville Skyline and PigSty In July, constantly refining the space's ability to provide brilliant festival experiences.
This, in addition to its own history of attracting quality artists such as Hoodoo Gurus, Custard, You Am I and Dan Sultan among several others, has helped make The Gum Ball one of the country's best-known and most well-regarded boutique events, to the point that this year's event sold out well in advance.
"Last year we were over the moon when the festival sold out so early," organiser Matt Johnston said in a statement. "A lot of people know how hard we've worked to achieve our goals. Having both You Am I and Dan Sultan playing a sold-out festival in our front yard was a bit of a dream come true, to say the least!"

In addition to the musical offerings, The Gum Ball makes itself a truly appealing prospect with the inclusion of a diversity of other creative and cultural curiosities including food and market stalls, kids creche, yoga, skate demos, workshops, live art and the ever-reliable silent disco.
The Gum Ball's 2017 line-up is yet to be revealed, though that will at least partially happen on 16 December; be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates.
If you're ready and raring to go regardless, tickets will be going on sale from next Friday, 11 November, via Dashville's online store.
