The Gooch Palms will return from their US lifestyle with their new album
The Gooch Palms have finally finished their new album in the US ahead of their scheduled run of dates back here early next year.
The Gooch Palms have been living out their dream in a move to Los Angeles, California, to become full-time musicians and have since pulled in over 100 shows across the States — after their arrival in March. In this time, they have also re-released their debut LP Novos through Burger Records and spent time in Michigan recording their new album Introverted Extroverts, which is set to drop from their own new imprint label Summer Camp Records this coming June.
After all their success over there, they are primed to return to show off back home. The tour begins in Brisbane at The Foundry (29 January) and continues through to Oxford Art Factory on 25 February.
Along the way, The Gooch Palms have aligned their shows with different supports in each city stop starting in Brisbane with with Cannon & White Lodge, White Lodge & Donny Love at Byron Bay, LL Goons & Tropical Snakes in Ballarat, ScotDrakula & Lazertits in Melbourne, Fighting League & Eadie & The Doodles in Canberra and at the NSW shows Los Tones, Solid Effort, Wild Honey, Raave Tapes & Wavevom scheduled, doubling up at some legs. As if The Gooch Palms needed to provide further reason not to miss their show near you.
First drop from the new album comes in the shape of Tiny Insight, which has already been added to triple j. The single captures the mid-fi sound that has become synonymous with their high-energy style.
Tickets for some shows are available through various outlets; for the specifics on the dates, venues and times, see theGuide or check The Music App.
