The Funkoars Announce 'Below Average' National Tour

19 March 2015 | 5:18 pm | Staff Writer

The veteran hip hop outfit will travel all around the country this May and June

If celebrated Aussie hip hop trio The Funkoars have seemed a little bit quiet of late, it may be because they've been hard at work putting the final touches on their eagerly awaited fifth full-length, In Case Of Emergency, but that's all set to change with today's announcement of their extensive Below Average national tour this May and June.

Kicking off the journey in Brisbane, at Fortitude Valley's TBC Club, on Friday, 8 May, The Funkoars will take their fresh live show to stages in Coolangata (9 May), Canberra (13 May), Melbourne (14-15 May), Hobart (16 May), Newcastle (22 May), Sydney (23 May), Bunbury (29 May), and Perth (30 May) before wrapping it all up in Adelaide the following month (12 June, all ages).

Punters will have a chance to get among the first of the new wares well ahead of their live debut when next single — and tour namesake — Below Average drops officially on 26 March. You can have a listen to the track below to start wrapping your head around it.

Joining The Funkoars for their Below Average tour will be DJ Total Eclipse (Xecutioners), WA MC Mathas and ascendant Melburnian Eloji.
