The Espy Is Set To Reopen This Month & This Local Act Will Be The First To Play There

"An exciting new music programme for ‘The Espy.’"

More The Teskey Brothers The Teskey Brothers Profile

After closing its doors in 2015, St Kilda's historic seaside icon, Hotel Esplanade, is set to reopen later this month and has tasked Melbourne's soul-blues quartet The Teskey Brothers with the unofficial christening.

The band will play The Gershwin Room on 22 November prior to the venue officially opening its doors.

The performance by the Melbourne band reportedly "heralds an exciting new music programme for The Espy, led by Venue Programme Manager, Shaun Adams".

"The Espy has always been, and will continue to be, the home of live music in St Kilda and Sand Hill Road will continue this tradition with three stages catering to the eclectic range of contemporary musical tastes," a spokesperson for the venue said in a statement.

The venue recently received the Good Music Neighbours grant to give its iconic Gershwin Room a serious acoustic update ahead of the venue's reopening.
