If you needed any more reason to head to Queensland's Crafted Beer & Cider Festival this weekend, here's one more - The Delta Riggs will debut their brand new beer.

The Melbourne rockers have teamed with Black Hops Brewery to deliver the new steam ale, which guitarist Jesse Pattinson promises punters heading to the Gold Coast event will love.

"What we got was a beer that is super drinkable, with a subtle hoppy flavour and refreshing aftertaste," Pattinson told The Music.

"Not too heavy, not too light. Just right. I don’t know a lot about the science of brewing, but I know what I like.

"I’m not just saying that, this would be a go to beer for me if it was more widely available. Who knows maybe we can make that happen?"

The Delta Riggs will perform at Crafted alongside a stack of acts including WHARVES, Seaside and Nice Biscuit.
