The Riggs have a few very exciting things to announce including the release of ‘America’
Still riding on the success of April-released debut record HEX.LOVER.KILLER, Melbourne's grooving rockers The Delta Riggs have unleashed the full-length's second single to airplay, along with a tour in the name of the tune and a remix initiative for budding producers.
The Riggs have experienced an incline in positive reception, media coverage and overall audience numbers in the wake of HEX.LOVER.KILLER, its first single, Rah Rah Radio, harnessing wide radio play and great reviews – paving the way for the record's second single, America.
To support America and after enjoying a successful support slot with Los Angeles' Deap Vally, The Delta Riggs will take to the road to show fans they are at the top of their game, venturing along the east coast of the country this September and October.
They will be joined by Sydney's psychedelic rockers The Walking Who, joining two the most interesting emerging bands in the Australian music scene for seven of the eight shows, with The Walking Who sadly missing a performance in Thredbo. All gig details are below.
Additionally, a psych remix of America by Record Attempts, aka Michael Belsar from Hunting Grounds, has been released at the same time as the original – initiating The Delta Riggs' larger remix competition named the America Remix Initiative is calling on fans to rework the tune for the chance to be included on a free compilation playlist. The stems can be downloaded here, with entries closing on Friday 20 September. Just submit your entry to thedeltariggs@gmail.com.
