The Tasmanian band return to Australia following a European tour

Tasmanian self-proclaimed "convict punk" band The Dead Maggies have revealed tour dates around the country next month.

The band plays with a unique blend of guitar, banjo, fiddle, double-bass, clarinet, accordion and drums, which accompany an array of vocals. Since their formation in 2013, they have subsequently played at Fractangular Gathering, Taste of Tasmania and Falls Festival in Victoria.

The Dead Maggies recently returned to Australia following an extensive European tour, where they had a member of The Pogues watch one of their shows at an Irish pub in Germany.

Their Australian tour travels to Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall in Brisbane on 10 April, before heading to Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra and finishing off with two shows in Melbourne, with the last one on 19 April at The Reverence.
