According to the British newspaper The Sun, UK glam rockers The Darkness are in the process of getting back together. The band split in 2006 due to an ongoing feud between frontman Justin and his brother Dan Hawkins, the guitarist.
A similar rumour was spread mid-2010, when The Sun reported that the band had reunited after being brought together by the birth of drummer Ed Graham's son. In response to this rumour, Justin Hawkins tweeted that "It takes a sick mind to come up with that stuff…I’m going to stand down from my position as vocalist and hand the microphone to Ed’s imaginary son. He’s got a cracking voice.”
Nevertheless the band's reformation is undeniably hinted by the creation of two new websites - www.theactualdarkness.com and www.thedarknessareback.com, which have been certified as authentic by bassist Frankie Poullain on his Facebook page. Rather than to confirm rumours, Justin simply posted on his Twitter, “In the studio with @foxy_shazam. @darknessactual actual news coming soon!“ and that “Impatience has the potential to undermine everything. Chill out and stop sneaking around!”
