The Rolling StonesIt’s a good day for The Rolling Stones fans, with a new single from their forthcoming album, Foreign Tongues, out now. And this one features The Cure’s Robert Smith.
Playing guitar on the new track, Divine Intervention, it would have been nice to hear Smith trade vocals with Mick Jagger, but as The Cure’s lead vocalist and guitarist is set to appear on another song, we might just get our wish.
Nonetheless, Divine Intervention is a star-studded affair, also featuring Steve Winwood on piano and organ. Additionally, The Rolling Stones have released another track, Jealous Lover, which premiered this week via Amazon Music—the music video for the latter stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Menton.
Check out both songs below.
Already, the band have unveiled the singles In The Stars and Rough And Twisted. While we’ve heard Smith and Winwood on Divine Intervention, Foreign Tongues is set to feature more special guest appearances.

Foreign Tongues will be released on Friday, 10 July, via Capitol Records. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
Mick Jagger said the recording process for Foreign Tongues took place during a “very intense few weeks.”
He explained, “I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis. It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks, and we went as fast as we could. I like the room there as it’s not too big, so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone.”
Ronnie Wood added, “The atmosphere in the room was so creative, and the whole band was on top form throughout the whole process. Very often, we nailed it on the first take. I hope everyone loves it.”
