You guys are in for a treat
With The Croxton's renovations and rebranding just about complete, the Melbourne mainstay has announced the impressive line-up of shows it will host in early October, once the venue is up and kicking once more.
With a history of welcoming in bands such as Cold Chisel, Bon Scott-era AC/DC, INXS and Rose Tattoo, The Croxton will see legendary alt rockers You Am I take to the stage on AFL Grand Final Long Weekend Eve (Thursday, 1 October) along with Canada's Bahamas and Fraser A Gorman.
Not settling for just that, on Friday, 4 December you can catch the raucous King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard with Swedes Goat and Orb. The two bands are also due to take to Brisbane's Triffid on Tuesday, 8 December and Sydney's Metro on Wednesday, 9 December.
If you're wondering what to expect of The Croxton post-renovations, there's a massive new band room with a much larger stage, two bars and unobstructed view of the bands playing. There's also an all new beer garden, and the best part — The Croxton is stone's throw from free parking, the Northcote Social Club and tram and train lines.
