Beloved punk institution and historic pub The Crown and Anchor - affectionately known by all in the know as “The Cranker” - has teamed up with non-profit music development organisation Music SA to present a new - and thrilling - live music initiative: Coast To Coast.

Coast To Coast will be spread across two weekends in May and June, and will feature a stunning line-up of six stellar acts handpicked from Adelaide, Melbourne, and Mt. Gambier. These six acts will emblazon The Cranker stage on Thursday, May 8th, and Thursday, June 12th. And here’s the best part: these two stupendous nights of music will be entirely free. Patrons, however, must be over eighteen years of age to attend.

Given that The Cranker is set to temporarily close from mid-July (for an estimated twenty-four months), this will be the perfect opportunity to rock out on the East End before the musical fun migrates to The Ed Castle, which The Cranker will, for a short while, treat as its exciting new home.

The first Thursday will showcase the talents of beloved Adelaide-based alt-rock outfit Molly Rocket, Mt. Gambier’s sexiest indie-music duo Sexy as Shit, and Dole Manchild, the multi-cultural, neuro-diverse, gender-diverse dance-punk extravaganza hailing from Melbourne.

The second Thursday will see Adelaide-based rock-and-roll upstarts The Shadow Ministers, Mt. Gambier’s dynamic trio of genre-diverse young lads Stokes, and Melbourne-based quartet of rocking misfits Stimpies.

Soak up this diverse range of talent for free at The Cranker on May 8th and June 12th - or be square.
