New Zealand jangle pop darlings The Chills have recently aired their first new material in an incredibly long time, with Molten Gold the first taste of the band's new material which is to be released on the Fire Records label.

It seems we might be hearing more from the group soon, with songwriter Martin Phillipps saying the following in a press release.
Molten Gold is the culmination of a lot of work by many people who have helped digitize and sort many of the hundreds of song ideas I have started over the last decade or two so that I can finally begin moving forward and completing songs.
