More The Chats More The Chats

The Chats have long held some pretty wild names in their fanbase but they had to put their money where their mouth was when some famous faces turned up to their gig in LA earlier this week.

Playing The Regent Theatre in LA to a sold-out crowd, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme and Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner and Matt Helders were all in attendance and the band managed to snap a pic with them all after the gig. Wholesome.

“Josh Homme said he was gonna come to the show and bring three mates," guitarist Josh Price told The Music

"He didn’t say anything about bringing Dave Grohl and the guys from Arctic Monkeys! Bloody hell!”

Grohl and Homme are both reportedly longtime fans of the band, having previously shared their support, and The Chats supported both QOTSA and Iggy Pop on Australian tours recently. Not too bad for a bunch of lads from the Sunny Coast, hey.

The band also posted a photo of them chatting to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong earlier in the month.

"Havin' a couple beers with Billy Joel. We play Burger Boogaloo tomorrow in Oakland at 1pm," the post read.

The Chats found fame following the release of their 2017 single Smoko which went viral across social media.

They picked up a worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Australia earlier this year and made headlines recently when the band's bassist and frontman Eamon Sandwith was allegedly refused entry to a Brisbane venue due to his mullet.

The Chats are set to play both Snowtunes and Chopped Festival later in the year. Check out theGuide for all the details.
