Teasing more big changes for 2017.

The end of 2016 for Melbourne instrumental-soul outfit The Cactus Channel marks some big changes for the band as they farewell two founding members and tease new music.

After seven years touring numerous releases, The Cactus Channel’s tenor sax/flute player Kate Charlwood and trumpet maestro Daniel Sutton will step down from the band to focus on other endeavours.
“It’s been an amazingly fun seven years worth of shows, tours, recording, great hangs and loose times with those two. We will miss it all,” The Cactus Channel said.

The news of Charlwood and Sutton’s departure doesn’t mean the band will be slowing down, though, teasing a new collaboration due out February followed by more releases throughout the year.

To celebrate their time in the band, they’ll be throwing a hometown party on Jan 5 at The Evelyn with support from Tetrahedra, WVY BVBY and DJ Manchild, with tickets available now via Oztix.
