Every time the internet seems to have hit the bottom, someone comes along and throws us a shovel. Of course, the upside to that is that sometimes digging yourself further into a hole yields unexpected treasure — and so it is in the case of the Buffalo Bill Gates project.
Started earlier this year by Stockholm-based visual artist Kalle Mattsson for [insert reason], the project is described by the artist himself as "apparently … what I was put on Earth to make", and is essentially a collection of celebrity mash-up Photoshops, only there's something consistently deeply worrisome about Mattsson's collection of fused faces, especially among the many, many musically inspired mixes. Look, it's not quite "holy shit Tom Cruise's front right tooth is in the exact middle of his face" distressing, but still — check out some of our favourites among Mattsson's "people" below, including the likes of EmineMC Hammer, the truly horrifying Stevie Wonder Woman, and Yoko Bono:
