The Australian stoner-punk powerhouses are taking their brand of good times to the globe
Rambunctious Aussie outfit The Bennies have much to celebrate at the moment, with a national tour and eagerly awaited album release Down Under this March — and now they're taking their riotous road show abroad with a UK tour and the announcement of a British and North American release for the new LP, Wisdom Machine.
The group's follow-up to their well-received 2013 full-length, Rainbows In Space, will be distributed in the northern-hemisphere cornerstones of Western civilisation by esteemed US indie label Paper & Plastick, which will also be co-presenting the local lads' UK tour, set to kick off in Bristol on 7 May.
The broadened horizons come off the back of an already accomplished past 12 months for The Bennies, in which they took on headline shows and festival stages around the country, selling out a string of dates in support of recent banger — and Wisdom Machine cut — Party Machine, which saw the unassuming outfit take out the #88 spot in this January's triple j Hottest 100 countdown.
The faithful ought not fear that the wider world will take too much of The Bennies' attention in the coming months, however, as the band prepare to take on the nation with a run of dates all around the country from 27 March, when they get under way in Launceston.
