After a triumphant start to the year already littered with career defining highlights, including trips to China and New Zealand, a slot on the Soundwave Festival, a national summer tour and the release of an inspired Clash cover, The Bennies live up to their title as one of Australia's hardest working bands by announcing yet another headline tour.

As they prepare for their first U.S expedition and a slot at Gainesville's The Fest in October, the band will play a run of Victorian dates ably supported by Jeff Rosenstock of recently defunct New York band Bomb The Music Industry.

Having toured both with his band and solo, the latest tour will typically be filled with surprises, including new and old songs. "Whenever I do acoustic tours I leave out a sheet of paper and allow people to request whatever songs of mine they want to hear and I'll do my best to play all of them," he says.

Between playing in bands, running a record label and producing albums, Rosenstock is bursting with inspiration. "This is the most creative I've felt since when Bomb first started and I made three albums in a year and a half, so I'm super excited about playing new stuff."

The excitement will be contagious, especially with The Bennies in tow and a collaboration on the cards. "No matter what, The Bennies want to have the best time playing and that makes you have the best time watching them. After seeing dozens of shitty ska/reggae/punk bands in the U.S who just sounded like they were going through the motions, it was really refreshing and surprising to find a band in that genre who were just so undeniably exciting and enjoyable."

Opening support for the tour will come from Adelaide's Hightime, who return from a brief hiatus to deliver a slew of new tunes in anticipation for their new record and follow up to 2011's Ishi Prende
