Iconic English rockers The Animals are returning to Australia for the last time, announcing their The Final Curtain tour yesterday (26 May).
The tour announcement arrives after the band brought a “final” tour Down Under in February 2024, but this time, drummer John Steel has made mention of “one last chapter,” and they’ve packed even more tour dates into their itinerary.
Recognised for hits such as House Of The Rising Sun, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place (covered by The Angels), Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, It’s My Life, and more, The Animals are regarded as “one of the most important bands” to emerge from the British pop invasion of the 1960s.
Throughout their storied career, The Animals have blended rock, blues, and R&B into their creative signature sound, with their music still remaining relevant today.
The Animals’ The Final Curtain tour begins at Newcastle’s Flamingos on Thursday, 23 October, and continues throughout Kingsford, Rozelle, Thirroul, Coogee, Queanbeyan, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Tweed Heads, Grafton, Ballarat, Melbourne, Warragul, Wonthaggi, Adelaide, Perth, and wraps up at Fremantle’s Freo.Social on Saturday, 22 November. You can find all the dates and venues below.
Punters can access pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, 28 May, at 10 am local time before the general sale opens on Friday, 30 May, at 10 am local time. You can find tickets and more information on the Metropolis Touring website.
