Melbourne rocker Terra Rouge has unveiled the next chapter of her already-impressive career, sharing latest single Couch Song.
Described as “a ‘fuck you’ anthem to an ex”, Couch Song is a slow-burning piece of classic garage-rock, leaning heavily into the Terra Rouge sound as Brianna Brady belts out an emotional piece of self-admitted crass catharsis.
Pairing the bitter sentiment with energetic guitar chords and metallic drums, it arrives with a nostalgic lean that shows off a progessive side thanks to its confident delivery and palpable sentiment.
Couch Song is the first new piece of music released by Terra Rouge since the arrival of debut album So Fucking Over It back in February. The album was itself a long time coming, with audiences having been introduced to Brady and her band back in 2019.
Though Brady serves as the vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist for Terra Rouge, the project is rounded out by the addition of Miabella Vaughan on bass, Emma Hird on drums, Eva Koch on guitar, and Sophie Ngyuen on keys. Together, they’ve been described as a musical “brat pack” who have been working together since attending high school.
To celebrate the release of Couch Song, Terra Rouge are throwing a special launch-day party at The Leadbeater Hotel in Richmond on Friday, September 13th. Officially dubbed 'The Terra Rouge Experience', the "theatrical performance" also features Laura Buchanan and C ME on the lineup and the premiere of the track’s music video, with a free photobooth, free show bags, and a free makeup station on offer.

Leaning heavily into the “sugar and spice” aesthetic and sound offered up by Terra Rouge’s music (and especially the latest single), the single’s launch seeks to offer the cutting-edge live performance while pairing it with the sense of fun often neglected in the live space.
Tickets to Terra Rouge’s launch party are on sale now, while Couch Song is out now on all streaming platforms.
