Emerging Sydney Artist To Open For Elton John's Farewell Tour

"It all feels very surreal."

More Elton John Elton John

He first supported Sir Elton John when he was just 23 years old and Aussie songwriter Tate Sheridan is set to do it all over again.

It has today been confirmed that the Sydney artist will open 22 of the 34 shows on John's upcoming farewell tour of Australia which kicks off later this month in Perth.

Sheridan, who's music has been played on John's Apple Music Beats 1 Radio, first opened for John during the music icon's 2015 tour of the country.

“I’m thrilled to be opening for Sir Elton John once again, on his final Australian tour”, Sheridan said.

“He was probably my biggest childhood hero and his music has been a huge inspiration. It all feels very surreal and I can’t wait to play alongside this musical legend later this month and into 2020!”

Tickets for all shows of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour are on sale now; for more details, click on theGuide.
