“We’re excited to celebrate the return of the festival, and the comeback of live music."

The 2022 Toyota Tamworth Country Music Festival has confirmed that the show will go on, announcing that the annual live country music event will kick off early next year for a very special celebration.

The event - which will feature the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Fanny Lumsden, Troy Cassar-Daley, Amber Lawrence, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, and many, many more - will commemorate 50 years of boot scootin' and kicking up the dirt, with a rip-roaring 10 days of events.

“We’re excited to celebrate the return of the festival, and the comeback of live music events more generally," Festival manager Barry Harley said.

"There’s no denying that it’s been a challenging couple of years for the industry, but we have been reassured and inspired by the release of the NSW Government’s Reopening Roadmap, and we want the industry, artists, promoters, visitors, everyone to know that the Toyota Country Music Festival is on and we’re ready to celebrate."

Harley adds, “we have huge celebrations planned to commemorate the festival’s remarkable 50 years and we can’t wait to welcome fans and artists back to Tamworth in January.”
