Xanman gives fans a little more of what to expect come August

More Pond More Pond

Tame Impala offshoot Pond have dropped the second explosion of psychedlic rock from their soon-to-be-released record, the fifth in their repertoire and a recorded version of some of the massive tunes they've been playing live.

Last month, the Perth five-piece announced details of their new record, Hobo Rocket, set to hit shelves at the beginning of August, and today, gave fans a taste of what's to come by releasing second single Xanman.

Pond, featuring three members of Australia's hottest export Tame Impala, released the record's first single, Giant Tortoise, earlier this year and are well-known for their high energy live shows. Just like the first offering, their new release captures the intensity of live psychedelic rock in recorded form, mimicked throughout their forthcoming 40-minute LP.

Hobo Rocket is set for Australian release on  Friday 2 August through Modular Recordings.
