The freshly revealed 2016 line-up sports a solid local contingent making the jaunt to the northern hemisphere this month
The full line-up for this month's Glastonbury Festival has been revealed, with evergreen local favourites Tame Impala leading the charge of Aussies headed to the UK in a few weeks' time for the annual event.
Along with Kevin Parker's band of merry musos, previously announced artists Tired Lion will be headed to the fest, as will acclaimed solo artist Matt Corby, stalwart psych/dance outfit Jagwar Ma, Sydney singer-songwriter Hayden James, Melbourne psych-pop crew Broadway Sounds (two sets!) and hip-hop trio True Vibenation. Additionally, Parker will be performing a DJ set with old mate Mark Ronson.
The local contingent joins an absolutely massive spread of international heavyweights, including the likes of Damon Albarn, Muse, Foals, ZZ Top, Adele, Two Door Cinema Club, Elle King, Wolf Alice, Madness, Disclosure, Bring Me The Horizon, Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, Jeff Lynne's ELO, Beck, Editors, Frightened Rabbit, New Order, CHVRCHES, The 1975, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, Years & Years, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Vince Staples, James Blake, Santigold, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gary Clark Jr, Kamasi Washington and a raft of other FOMO-inducing performers.
The 2016 Glastonbury Festival Of Contemporary Performing Arts runs from 22-26 June.
