Sydney Guitar-Poppers Morning TV Unveil New Single Ahead Of EP & East Coast Tour

'Get It Right' is the second cut to be taken from the band's forthcoming second extended-player.

Emergent Sydney outfit Morning TV are ramping up to the release of their second EP, Sun, with their boppy, breezy new single Get It Right.

The first track written for the EP, Get It Right follows previous effort Let It Lie in cementing the band's talents for creating accessible, enjoyable indie-pop, effortlessly hooking in its listeners with its affable, upbeat air and summery vibe.

The band say the song is one of their favourites to bust out live — "it's fast-passed and fun", they explain — and audiences can expect to hear it as part of their set on their just-announced east-coast tour in support of the EP.

Sun will be released on Friday 29 September via Habit Music Company, through whom the new single is available now. From its early indications, it will serve as a most worthy successor to Morning TV's well-received debut extended-player, Golden, which picked up airplay not only on community radio stalwarts such as FBi, 2RRR, RTRFM and 4ZZZ but national broadcaster triple j to boot.

"[Sun] is our proudest and most honest work," the band said in a statement. "We are extremely excited about sharing it."

The four-piece, who have honed their live chops alongside the likes of High-Tails, Bloods, Shining Bird, Olympia, Middle Kids, Tempura Nights, Julia Jacklin and more, will head off for their Sun tour in the wake of the record's release, kicking off at Newcastle's Cambridge Hotel on Wednesday 1 November and carrying on to shows in Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
