Sydney outfit, Parades, have announced this afternoon that they are disbanding.
In a Facebook post, they wrote: "PARADES is no longer... Thanks to everyone who came to a show, bought a cd or told their friends about us. You can follow our current endeavours here: Michael and Daniel = Light Giant, Jono = Jonathan Boulet, Tim = Au.Ra Thanks, Parades"
The art-rock group had released a spectacular debut record, Foreign Tapes, and had amassed a strong following in Sydney. However, as various members moved into projects of their own - as mentioned above in the Facebook post - it has been quiet on the Parades front for some time.
Farewell, Parades. You will be missed.
