The operating group of a number of popular Sydney and Brisbane live music venues is reportedly disbanding, leaving the future of these establishments up in the air.
According to The Shout, venues under the Riversdale Group will be put up for sale by the Australian Pub Fund.
Some of the Riversdale venues include Sydney’s Vic In The Park and The Standard Bowl, as well as The Foundry and Elephant & Wheelbarrow in Brisbane.
While Aussie favourite Courtney Barnett performed at Vic On The Park earlier this year, The Foundry has quickly become one of the country’s favourite live music venues.

Though it opened only last year, the venue has hosted a string of emerging and established acts, including Last Dinosaurs, Good Boy, Ecca Vandal, Moses Gunn Collective and more.
It has been reported that The Marlborough Hotel in Newtown and Kinsela’s Hotel in Darlinghurst have already hit the market.
Riversdale Group Operations Manager, Jay Beecroft, declined to confirm or deny the reports when contacted by The Music.
