Infectious hooks, big harmonies and deep grooves
Sydney indie-rockers Phantastic Ferniture have announced their first headline tour in support of their new single Gap Year.
This follows the four-piece's exciting new management deal with Heartstop Music, who are behind the international careers of Marlon Williams and the Ferns' frontwoman Julia Jacklin.
Phantastic Ferniture booked their first-ever show, "The Phantastic Ferniture Christmas Extravaganza First and Last Gig", before they had even written a song. Good thing this wasn't actually their last gig, because the band have become mainstays on the Sydney scene, picking up supports for bands such as Methyl Ethel and doing gangbusters business on community airwaves through a few nods from FBi.
They play Sydney's Newtown Social Club on 6 July and Melbourne's Grace Darling on 7 July, with tickets available here.

They'll precede their headline shows with an appearance at the inaugural Spunk Rock! Festival, run by tastemaker label Spunk Records, at CWA Hall, Stanwell Park, on 2 July, alongside the likes of Shining Bird, Noire and The Escarpment.
