The event is back this September
The popular Surry Hills Festival was a noticeable absentee from the Sydney music festival calendar last year, after the event was put on the backburner to recover from financial losses as a result of the 2012 event.
But in some great news for Sydney punters, the festival will return in 2014. The event will be held this year on Saturday 27 September in and around the areas of Crown Street, Ward Park and Shannon Reserve.
It what seems fitting in its returning year, the theme of Surry Hills Festival 2014 will be 'Surry Hills, Stories, Love And Tales', giving fans, the community, artists and musicians the chance to reminisce and share their memories of the suburb.
An info night on this year's event will be held at Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre - the festival's producer – on Monday 19 May from 6:30pm, which the public is welcome to attend.
