Support Act CEO Steps Down To Pursue Creative Roots

Support Act founding Chief Executive Officer Joanna Cave has today announced that she will be moving on from her position to pursue other career opportunities.

Cave first started with the charity, which provides crisis relief services for artists and music workers, five years ago and has had a massive impact on the organisation's evolution since then.

“A finer CEO she could not be. In the space of 5 short years, she has driven a business strategy that has improved our bottom line by 500%, increased grants funding to our service users 10 fold and modernised our service delivery to those who matter most, our service users.” Support Act chair of the board of Directors Sally Howland said.

Financially astute, savvy and compassionate, Cave leaves a lasting legacy that provides a genuine foundation for the charity to continue to flourish.

Cave is still overseeing several Support Act initiatives before she leaves including a new wellbeing service and her final Music In The House.

"After five wonderful years helping to make Support Act the organisation artists and music workers need and deserve I have made the decision to return to my creative roots. I will miss my wonderful colleagues but I leave knowing the organisation is in great shape for the future,” Cave said.

The search for a new CEO will commence this month.
