"... we’ve let you down."
Victorian music festival Supermild Weekender has announced its 2019 event has been cancelled.
A statement posted to Facebook on Tuesday night advised that "slow ticket sales and expected unsustainable financial loss" have resulted in the three-day festival being axed.
"We’re sorry to our customers who have supported us through all our events and Supermild Weekender, we have let you down by not being able to deliver our planned weekender," the statement reads.
"We’re sorry to all the artists, crew, suppliers who had booked that weekend to being involved in Supermild, we’ve let you down.
"We love the venue, we love the concept and have been inspired by words of encouragement throughout the whole process by many people. We tried something different and on this occasion, it did not work."
