Supergrass Announce 'I Should Coco' 30th Anniversary Australian Tour

English rockers Supergrass will return to Australia in June 2025 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut album, I Should Coco.

The band’s first tour down under since October 2008—frontman Gaz Coombes toured Australia last November, opening for Robbie Williams on his massive dates and playing a string of solo shows—the I Should Coco run should be a special one.

I Should Coco, released in May 1995, became Parlophone’s best-selling debut album since The Beatles’ Please, Please Me. The album reached #1 in the UK, was nominated for the 1995 Mercury Music Prize, and was later heralded in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

After the release of I Should Coco, Supergrass went on to release five more albums before parting ways in 2010 to pursue solo careers: 1997’s In It For The Money, 1999’s Supergrass, 2002’s Life On Other Planets, 2005’s Road To Rouen, and 2008’s Diamond Hoo Ha.

While they haven’t released anything new since 2008, Supergrass reunited in 2019 to tour and, in 2020, commemorated their 25th anniversary with the greatest hits LP The Strange Ones: 1994 – 2008 and live album, Live On Other Planets (Live 2020).

For their first Australian tour in 17 years, Supergrass’s upcoming dates are reserved for the East Coast, with the band stopping at Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 7 June, the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Tuesday, 10 June, and Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Wednesday, 11 June.

Bassist Mick Quinn said of the forthcoming tour, “15th May 2025 marks 30 years since 'I Should Coco'. Supergrass are thrilled to announce their return to perform the début album live, in its entirety, for the first time. Dynamic pricing not included.”
