Suffocation announce departure of drummer

Suffocation have announced in a recent interview with HitKiller.com that drummer Mike Smith has quit the band, and has been replaced by Dave Culross.

The band said:

"[Smith] and the rest of us had serious differences of opinions... he has since been replaced with Dave Culross, who had played and recorded on 'Despise the Sun'... Dave is a permanent member now."

When asked about their new album, the band mentioned that it would be released in the coming months through Nuclear Blast Records.
