Subsonic reveals some of the acts set to perform at the festival in December.
The three-day Subsonic Music Festival has announced its return and unveiled the first crop of acts that will take to the festival's five stages in Riverwood Downs, at the foothills of the Barrington Tops, this December.
Subsonic will showcase ambient, reggae, acoustic, world, techno, house, bass, hip hop and electro-punk music from 180 local and international acts and feature art installations, market stalls and activities such as shiatsu, acro yoga, sacred geometry and meditation.
The first line-up announcement includes a stack of international acts including the UK’s Andrew Weatherall and Mr G; Weatherall will perform solo as well as with fellow Brit Sean Johnston under their collective moniker A Love From Outer Space. Joining them on the bill are US DJs and producers Fred P and Daniel Bell, Germany’s Madmotormiquel, Dirty Doering and tINI, French producer Alexkid, Poland’s Catz ‘n Dogz, Romania's Barac, Italy’s Francesco Del Garda, Russian MTV star-turned-DJ Julia Govor and Kiwi Opiuo.
Representing Australia on the current line-up is Melbourne's Dub FX, who's performed at some of the biggest international festivals including Coachella, Sziget, Glastonbury and Woodstock.
