You probably never thought it would happen, but UK punks Subhumans have just announced their first ever Australian tour.

More Subhumans More Subhumans

One band who were integral to the UK punk scene of the 1980s were Subhumans, a fierce, fast, old school political punk group with a bit of a twist. The band split in 1985 but reformed back in 1998, signing up with Fat Wreck Chords for a killer live record as well as releasing an album of new material on their own label. The band, led by the wildly energetic Dick Lucas, have never been to Australia before but are making sure that changes in 2012 with a tour set to hit venues all across our country locked in for this September. They kick the run of dates off in Perth with a show at Amplifier on Wednesday 12 September, in Brisbane they'll be ensuring everyone's staying punk out in Nundah, with a show at the Prince Of Wales on Thursday 13, The Sandringham Hotel in Sydney hosts the punks Friday 14, Melbourne's Bendigo Hotel's turn comes Saturday 15 and it all wraps up with an Adelaide show at a venue still to be determined on Sunday 16. Tickets are on sale from Friday 15 June – chuck it in your diary.
