The metal celebration returns to Perth in May next year
Annual celebration of all things heavy and metallic, the Stormrider Festival, is returning to Perth for another face-melting event next year, revealing today the dates for its 2015 shindig, to be led by the likes of Lord, Vanishing Point, Silent Knight and many others.
Stormrider's all-day revelry will descend upon the city's Civic Hotel on Saturday, May 23, with the line-up being filled out by a selection of some of the national scene's best heavy-hitters, the cream of the local crop, and even an international concern all the way from Java, in Indonesia.
Joining the veteran Lord, acclaimed Melburnians Vanishing Point and Perth-bred power-metal heroes Silent Knight will be South Australian thrash prodigies Alkira, Melburnian power-metallers Anarion, Sydney's prog-steeped punishers Avarin, Victorian speed freaks Espionage, Metallica tribute act 4 Horsemen, and mixed covers/originals outfit Morphica.

Plus, audiences will be treated to a very special appearance from visiting guests Lord Symphony, who are renowned as purveyors of "epic Javanese power metal", helping kick Stormrider from a must-attend event for metalheads right up to absolutely-must-attend.
The festival have also put together a playlist of songs supplied by the originals-playing bands on the line-up, which will be available for free via the event poster's QR code and on the cover of the accompanying Stormrider compilation CD, which will be made available through promo and events in the lead-up to the festival.
If you get on board early and pre-purchase your tickets, you'll go in the running to nab a three-hour tattoo gift voucher courtesy of Na8ive Ink, a $30 voucher via Heavy Metal Merchant, and a selection of merch from each of the performing original bands.
Pre-sale tickets will set you back a measly $25; they're available now via Moshtix (e-ticket + booking fees) and Silent Knight's BigCartel page (door-list ticket only, no booking fees).
