Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Skrillex, Steve Aoki and more on the announcement
Australia’s largest dance festival just got bigger, with Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Skrillex, Steve Aoki amongst a wealth of other talent appearing on the Stereosonic 2014 line-up.
Looking to be their most solid bill to date, the EDM giant has unleashed the names of 60 artists who will keep the party going over the festival’s continued two-day format, kicking off in Perth and Sydney the same weekend, which will involve artist zigzagging across the country to fit with the logistical juggling involved.

Appropriately titled, Calvin Harris’ latest single Summer will no doubt become the soundtrack of festival as the unstoppable Scottish producer goes from strength to strength. Breaking all kinds of records with his hits and owning enough awards to fill a room, you’d struggle to find a better headliner than the Fly Eye Records owner.
He was set to play the HARD stage alongside Boys Noize as Dog Blood at Stereosonic 2013, but had to withdraw a week out from the tour , so no doubt Skillrex’s set this year will be a forced to be reckoned with. If his latest record, Reeces, doesn’t get you moving, nothing will.
Steve Aoki is the definition of fun, and that guy you wish was your best friend. He’s been nominated for a Grammy and adding a fresh twist to electro house. Plus he likes Breaking Bad, as evident in the video for Free The Madness.
One of the most eclectic artists on the bill, Porter Robertson’s debut LP Worlds, set for release mid August, is one of the most anticipated records of 2014, and with good reason. Bridging the gap between numerous forms of EDM, his debut sees an unpredictable blend of trance, electro and indietronica, perfect for a headline spot on the Stereo stage.
CARL COX
A veteran of acid house and a champion of techno, you’d struggle to find a better festival match than Carl Cox. His radio show Global attracts millions of listeners and he’s been in the game since his early teens, so calling Cox an ambassador of the genre wouldn’t be a stretch.
