Stereophonics Cancel Tonight's Melbourne Show

Brit band cancel due to illness

Live Nation, promoters of the current Australian tour by UK rock outfit Stereophonics, have issued a press release announcing the cancellation of tonight's Melbourne show by the band.

The promoters cited singer Kelly Jones' ill health as the reason for the cancellation of the Palace Theatre gig.

The release included a statement from Jones:

"I regret that due to respiratory infection I will not be able to perform tonight in Melbourne. This is only the second show we have cancelled in 17 years and no one is more disappointed than I am not to be able to rock'n'roll tonight."

Due to the band's tight tour schedule no new date will set for a replacement show. Live Nation have stated, "All ticket holders may obtain a full refund from the point of purchase.

"Stereophonics and Live Nation apologise for any disappointment."
