St Paul & The Broken Bones Slot In Trio Of Bluesfest Sideshows

The Alabama sextet will hit the east-coast state capitals in April 2017

Soulful Alabama sextet St Paul & The Broken Bones are used to one-upping their peers, and they're doing just that to most of their fellow Byron Bay Bluesfest cohort by naming not the usual two but three sideshow dates during their visit next year.

The legends-in-waiting will ride into Brisbane to play The Triffid before the fest, then heading down to Sydney's Metro Theatre and Melbourne's 170 Russell on the other side.

The band released their second album, Sea Of Noise, in September, so the tunes therein should still be fittingly fresh for both performer and punter when they step outside their Bluesfest duties to get a little more intimate with their Australian fans.

The band's performances have garnered nothing but glowing reviews of late, and with credentials on their CV that include having opened for the Rolling f'n Stones, this is a group more than capable of carrying their three shows to some glorious ends indeed.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 10am AEDT (9am AEST) this Wednesday, 19 October, via Bluesfest Touring.

The 28th Byron Bay Bluesfest will be held at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from 13-17 April 2017.
