The Wombats new album debuts on ARIA Album Charts
They were today announced as one of the headliner acts on the massive Splendour In The Grass bill this July.
And it looks like English indie rockers The Wombats will have another reason to celebrate with their brand new album Glitterbug looking to take out the top spot on this week’s ARIA Album Charts.
The record was only released this week and it is a contender to dethrone compilation album, Spirit Of The ANZACS, which has stayed at number one in recent weeks.
Last week the group’s front man Matthew Murphy walked us through each song off the new album - check it out here!

Also debuting on the charts this week includes controversial US rapper Tyler, The Creator’s fourth studio album Cherry Bomb, who also showed off five new covers for the release yesterday.
Other albums to keep an eye out for this week include Aussie veteran Judith Durham’s latest effort, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and Beccy Cole’s Sweet Rebecca which is looking likely to break the top 20.
Brisbane quartet Violent Soho’s 2013 album Hungry Ghost is also continuing it’s hot streak after breaking the top 30 last week and it looks set to climb in to the top 20.
The record also took out Album Of The Year at last month’s Queensland Music Awards.
