Don't believe the talk.
The 2016 Splendour In The Grass festival wrapped mere hours ago but management have already been forced to deny speculation that the three-day event will be moving on from its beloved home of the North Byron Parklands after next year.
Gold Coast Bulletin reported this morning that because the festival is four years into a five-year trial to operate from the North Byron Parklands ending next year, Splendour is without a home from 2018 onwards.
It's also been reported that the festival is outgrowing the location due to its popularity, as the Parklands attracted 32,500 punters per day this year — 2500 more than last year.
However, organisers have emphatically denied these claims to theMusic, insisting there are no plans to move Splendour on any time soon.

A spokesperson for the Parklands also dismissed any speculation that the site will cut ties with the event after 2017.
