Splendour Act Interpol Announce New Album

6 June 2014 | 3:01 pm | Staff Writer

New LP is coming this September

More Interpol More Interpol

American rock outfit Interpol will release their first album in four years just a couple of months after their turn at Splendour In The Grass.

El Pintor is the band's fifth record, the follow-up to 2010's self-titled release. This is the first Interpol LP that won't feature any work by former bassist Carlos Dengler, who left the band not long after they completed album number four. Paul Banks took over bass duties on the new record.

El Pintor, recorded at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound, will be released officially on Friday 5 September [PIAS] Australia.
