Their busy year just got busier
On the back of an already huge year, Sydney's Spit Syndicate will unleash on an Australia-wide tour this October, seeing the hip hop duo travel on their biggest range of shows yet, playing large cities, regional areas and all-ages performances just to appeal to everyone.
The ARIA-nominated outfit, consisting of duo Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice, released third full length Sunday Gentlemen back in February, debuting in 15th spot on the ARIA chat, featuring singles Beauty and the Bricks and the popular Folly, and leading to the Sunday Gentlemen tour with Jackie Onassis, selling out shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Perth.
To add to a list of achievements, today the band contributed to triple j's Like A Version segment, with the record's third single, Amazing, added to the station's full rotation, and the outfit were announced on the first batch of acts to play at Australia's music conference event. BIGSOUND.
And Spit Syndicate aren't keen to slow down, the announced Money Over Bullshit tour – taking it's name from the lyrics of Amazing – will venture through 20 live venues, with a warm-up set played by DJ and long-time collaborator Joyride.
A singer, songwriter and producer in his own right, Joyride DJing for Split Syndicate is only one project for the Sydney musician, popping up with guest appearances on stages all over the country and currently working on his solo material, recently releasing his free EP Chivalrous, including a collaboration with Drapht on lead single Removalist.
