"The response to last year’s show was overwhelming, both in the studio when we filmed it, and at home when it went to air."
Following a hugely-successful reunion last year, ABC has confirmed Spicks & Specks will be returning to TV screens around the country again this year.
The music-themed quiz series will return for four new specials - one this year and three in 2020 - after last year's special was ABC's most watched show for 2018.
Host Adam Hills and team captains Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough are confirmed to return for the new episodes.
“From the moment Alan, Myf and I were together in a room for last year’s Spicks & Specks reunion special, we had each other in fits of laughter," Hills said.
"Any time I can spend with those two fools is time well spent, and if it takes four more specials to make that happen – so be it!
"The response to last year’s show was overwhelming, both in the studio when we filmed it, and at home when it went to air. Spicks & Specks has a special place in our hearts, and I’m genuinely excited to make a few more specials for the ABC.”

The first special will air this November in support of AusMusic Month, while the three 2020 specials promise to "delve into music of the '90s, noughties and the as-yet-unnamed 2010s".
Speaking to The Music late last year, Hills' hopes of bringing Spicks & Specks back on a semi-regular basis appears to be on the money.
"I said to Alan and Myf, ‘Look, I would happily do this every year for AusMusic Month,’ maybe even for the whole month. You know, come back and we’d film four episodes and we’d just do a month of Spicks & Specks," he said.
"But I mean, that was just me after the show on the high of doing it. Look, I think Alan and Myf were on a high from doing it as well, so they might have the same thinking as me."
