Sydney hardcore band Speed have postponed a number of shows across New South Wales and Canberra as they focus on the search for a missing friend.
Having cancelled their appearance in Nambour “due to an emergency” on Tuesday night, Speed shared further details about the situation the following day on social media, alerting their followers to the search for their friend Aje.
“Our brother ‘Aje’ (Chang-Wook Yeo) has been missing since 3:45pm 6/1/2025,” the group wrote in a post. “Last seen at Hanging Rock at Black Heath in the Blue Mountains region, where his phone and personal belongings were found there.
“A search by local authorities has been stopped today due to the weather, so please be careful if around that area due to the terrain and potential danger.
“He is a short Asian male, typically dressed in baggy clothes with glasses,” they added. “His long hair has since been cut short. He speaks Korean and English. He lives in Sydney in Lidcombe so please keep an eye out in these areas too.”
The group closed their post by urging their followers to share the post on social media, or anyone with information relating to Aje's whereabouts to contact the Katoomba police station.

Speed also took to social media a few hours later to notify fans that, due to their involvement in the search, they will be postponing their upcoming shows in Newcastle, Wollongong, Gosford, Penrith, and Canberra.
“Members of Speed are a primary point of contact in the missing persons case for our friend Aje,” they wrote. “As the search continues we will need to remain in the Sydney and Blue Mountains areas until we have more information.
“We will regroup when we have more information to figure out the remaining January dates of the tour in Victoria and Adelaide,” they added. “Thanks for your patience and understanding in this difficult time.”
Details regarding Speed’s upcoming tour plans will be updates in due course, while anyone with information relating to Aje’s wherabouts should contact the Katoomba police station on (02) 4782 8199.
