The second edition of Southern Death Fest is officially live.

Looking to rock out to savagely earsplitting tunes? Ironjaw Bookings have got you covered with the return of their stacked heavy metal bonanza, set to take place at Lion Arts Factory, the beloved Adelaide venue, on Saturday, September 13th.

The event first took place in 2024 and was such a major success that Ironjaw Bookings decided to do it all over again.

Southern Death Fest, which kicks off at noon and wraps up at around midnight, is an all-ages event, though young and old would do well to remember to bring their most heavy-duty earplugs.

The recently announced line-up consists of twenty-one head-banging metal acts, including eight local bands, twelve interstate bands, and one international act.

This year’s Southern Death Fest is set to be headlined by Victoria-based death-core upstarts Gravemind.

Also tearing up the stage on the night will be the Taiwanese-Canadian band Dharma, who are proud to quite likely be “the first band in the world to combine ancient and traditional Buddhist sutras with the modern style of death metal.”

Local acts include heavy favourites such as Biome, I Choose Violence, Vapours, Kin, and more. Also performing a farewell show on the night will be South Australian metal outfit Sickness.

Ironjaw Bookings “summons its legions to decimate this quiet state,” encouraging all to attend “the heaviest show in all the lands.”

Be sure to grab tickets, which are available via Moshtix now, before they are all snapped up.
