Southbound Books Solange, Hermitude, Vampire Weekend

Perth two-day event drops line-up

The line-up for the tenth anniversary of the Southbound festival has been announced, with the West Australian festival naming Vampire Weekend, Hermitude, MGMT, Neil Finn and Beyonce's sister Solange in its first line-up.

Sharing a number of acts with east coast sister Falls Festival events, the festival will take place Friday 3 and Saturday 4 January. A number of locals, including Big Scary, Chet Faker and The Preatures have also made the bill.

In alphabetical order, the first announcement features:

(CHK CHK CHK), Asta, Big Scary, Bombino, Bonobo, Chet Faker, Crystal Fighters, Flight Facilities, Gossling, Grizzly Bear, Hanni El Khatib, Hermitude, James Vincent McMorrow, London Grammar, MGMT, Neil Finn, Pond, RÜFÜS, Solange, The Cat Empire, The Preatures, The Wombats, Tom Odell, Vampire Weekend, Violent Femmes and White Denim.

The two-day and over 18 event takes place at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, Busselton. Tickets go on sale 9am West Australian time Monday 2 September from Moshtix, with a one day pass costing $129 plus booking fee and a two day $185 plus booking fee. Camping passes are $25.
