Western Australia’s favourite emerging indie/reggae outfit, South Summit, are hitting the road this July, announcing their largest national tour to date.
The band are touring in support of their forthcoming second album, RUN IT BACK, scheduled for release on Friday, 12 June. Their latest single, ON THE DASH, recently surged to enter the Top 5 most-played tracks on triple j—currently on full rotation following its first play on triple j Breakfast.
Previous singles TOP OF THE HILL and WE ARE have received plenty of support on triple j and Unearthed, with widespread plays on digital streaming platforms.
The tour begins at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday, 10 July. From there, the band heads to Brisbane’s The Triffid on Saturday, 11 July, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, 17 July, and Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Saturday, 18 July. They conclude the run with a hometown show at Metropolis Fremantle on Saturday, 25 July.
Tickets are now available via South Summit’s website.
South Summit’s Nemo commented in a statement, “Taking our second album RUN IT BACK on the road feels like a turning point for us.
“These songs have lived with us for so long; playing these tracks for the first time is always a moment. We can feel it shift from something personal to something shared. That energy is everything, and to be doing it on some of the biggest stages in Australia and soon to be new countries is wild. It's a reminder of how far we’ve come.”
South Summit are currently supporting The Terrys on a 15-date tour of the UK and Europe. Now, they’re preparing for their next chapter, with RUN IT BACK showcasing the band at their “creative peak.”

RUN IT BACK was written in the wake of the band’s debut album, The Bliss, and finds them diving further into experimentation, playing with funk, hip-hop, and R&B sounds as they push their blend of reggae and psychedelic rock further. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
